ARMAC Online Privacy Statement
Akita Rescue Mid-Atlantic Coast, Inc. (ARMAC) respects the privacy of visitors to its
Web site. To protect online privacy, ARMAC has implemented the following policy.
About the Information We Collect
Most of the data and information we collect through our Web site is used only to help
ARMAC achieve its mission of helping rescue and place homeless Akitas. It is our
policy to collect and store only personal information that our supporters knowingly
provide.
- From Casual Web Site Visitors and General Users.
- We do not collect any
personal information from users browsing our Web site. When you use our Web site
you are doing so anonymously. We do collect aggregate use information, such as the
number of hits (visits) per page. We use aggregate data for internal and marketing
purposes, but we don't collect any personally identifying information.
- From Our Donors, Subscribers and Adopters.
- If while visiting our Web site you
request information from ARMAC, you will be asked to provide certain information.
In all cases this information is submitted voluntarily. In most cases, ARMAC asks you
to provide your name, address, telephone, and e-mail. Similar information may be
submitted to ARMAC with donations or on a newsletter order form.
Customer Lists
Our client list is not for sale. When you visit our web site or become a supporter of
ARMAC, your name and mailing information will not be sold to any commercial organization.
Credit Card Account Information
ARMAC does not collect credit card information over the internet
How We Use Cookies
Cookies are small bits of code that are sent to your computer when you logon to a
Web site that allows us to identify you when you return to the site. We do not use
cookies to track your usage or any other personal information about you.

If you suspect that we have handled your personal information in a manner that
does not comply with this privacy statement, please contact us by e-mailing an explanation to

Privacy and the Links on Our Web Site
Providing the public with information about the Akita breed, rescue resources, other
Akita rescue organizations and information about dog safety through our Web site is
an essential part of ARMAC's efforts to carry out its mission.

- We welcome links to any part of our Web site
from other nonprofits, Akita rescue organizations, and others who wish to help
extend our mission. We ask that you contact us to let us know of your intentions to
link to our site, and indicate the purpose of the link. No link may present or display a
product or activity in a way that states or implies ARMAC's endorsement. ARMAC
does not endorse any commercial or non-profit organizations, nor does ARMAC
endorse any products.
- Links out from www.akitarescue.org
- ARMAC's web site features links to other
nonprofit organization sites, Akita Rescue organizations, and various sponsors/supporters of
ARMAC. We do not routinely link to private, commercial or other similar Web sites, other than
current sponsors of ARMAC's programs and services. However, on a case-by-case basis, we
will consider requests from such groups or persons to out-link to their Web sites.
ARMAC will grant such requests only where it is determined that such links will
clearly support our mission, and where we have concluded that such links will not in
any way jeopardize our reputation, independence, objectivity, mission or ability to
serve the Akita breed.
From time to time, ARMAC also may decide on its own, not based on any request, to
link to private, commercial or other Web sites. The same criteria described above
will apply. Such links may be short or long-term, at the discretion of the
ARMAC.
