Virtual Fostering
Want to help one of these needy Akitas, but can't actually adopt an orphan or foster one in your home? You can still sponsor an orphan in our virtual fostering program! Your sponsorship is tax-deductible in the US and will help cover the costs of food, upkeep, and medical expenses until a permanent home can be found for the dog.
We have four levels of sponsorship to choose from:
- Pal
- A donation of $25. Your name will be listed on the web site for at least one month as a sponsor of the orphan you choose.
- Buddy
- A donation of $50. Your name will be listed for at least a month, and if you provide your address, you will receive a subscription to the ARMAC Newsletter Uniquely Akita for one year as a thank you gift.
- Guardian
- A donation of $100. Your name will be listed for at least two months, and as a thank you gift you will receive a subscription to Uniquely Akita.
- ARMAC Angel
- A donation of $500. Less than the annual cost of a cup of coffee each morning! At this level, your name will be listed on the web site for at least one year. And of course, you will receive Uniquely Akita.
To become a virtual foster, all you need to do is choose the orphan(s) you want to sponsor from our Available Orphans page. Then use our PayPal donation form or Network for Good to make a credit card donation.
In the notes field of the donation form or in your e-mail, be sure to indicate:
- The name(s) of the dog(s) you are sponsoring
- Which level of sponsorship you are offering
- Whether this is a monthly sponsorship
- How you would like your name listed on the web site. You may also request not to be listed on the site.
- Your e-mail address so that we can contact you with any questions about your sponsorship (we will not use this e-mail for any other purpose)
- For Buddy, Guardian, and Angel sponsors, the address for us to send the Uniquely Akita newsletter subscription. You may also request that we not send the newsletter, if you prefer.
Funds donated through the Virtual Fostering program will be used to support the sponsored dog as long as the dog remains with ARMAC. ARMAC reserves the right to use the remaining funds on any other dog if the sponsored orphan leaves ARMAC's care for any reason.
